Managing Organization API Definitions - Control Center Visibility

The Organization API Definitions page displays a list of API Definitions for a specific Organization and its Sub-Organizations, if any. When creating an API definition, you must specify the Organization name.

note

Only Organization Administrator and the API Manager can access Organization API Definitions page.

The Organization Administrator can:

  • View and modify the API Definitions.
  • Change the Organization ownership of the API Definitions on the API Definition Settings page.

On the Organization API Definitions page, the Organization Administrator and the API Manager can control the visibility of APIs within the API Control Center. With this, the API Definitions in an Organization are made visible (read-only) to other Organizations. So that the users in the other Organizations can view the API Definitions for various business requirements. You can assign multiple Organizations to enable Control Center visibility for an API Definition.

Adding Organization to Control Center Visibility List

Procedure

  1. Click Organizations on the Get Started page or navigate to Manage > Organizations. This opens the Manage your Organizations page.

  2. In the Organization Name column, click the organization name link or Actions (>) icon next to the row you want to add a role to an Organization, or view resources of an Organization. This opens the Organization Overview:<your organization name> page.

  3. Navigate to API Definitions. This opens the Organization API Definitions: <your organization name> page.

    tip

    If there are no API definitions, then add an API definition to an Organization. Refer to Creating an API for more information.

  4. In the Control Center visibility column, click the Down arrow () icon next to the API definition name row. This opens the Control Center visibility pop-up window.

    1. Select an Organization, and click the Add (+) icon. Repeat the above steps to add multiple Organizations.

      You can also remove a selected Organization from the list by clicking the Remove (-) icon.

    2. Click Apply.

    The Organization is added to the Control Center visibility column. Similarly, you can set API definition Control Center visibility for multiple Organizations.

You can also manage API Definition Settings on Organization API Definitions: <your organization name> page.

  • Click the Settings icon next to the row you want to update the API definition settings. This opens the API Definition Settings: <your api name> page. Modify the fields as required, and click Save.

  • Click the Actions (>) icon next to the row you want to manage endpoint settings. Navigate to API Definition Settings. Modify the fields as required, and click Save.
